Sharni Vison, an Australian-American dancer and actress, was born 22 July 1983, in Sydney Australia. Sharni Vinson first made an appearance as an actress in 2001 as she appeared in the role of a woman on Home and Away, a soap opera based in Australia. Her performance in the limited part was so captivating that the casting agent for the show asked to cast her in the major roles in the series. She was however rejected for the role. So, in the exact same show Cassie Turner was chosen to portray a teenage troubled child living in a foster home. Both critics and fans alike have praised the role.
