Lita Rossana Ford was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer, and music writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. Although the band did not make much progress in America however they became extremely popular in other countries. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was 'Dancin' On the Edge, followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford went missing for several years from the music scene following the albums' failure to draw the attention they deserved. The smash-hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was only temporary and she was absent from the world of music for many decades. The resurgence of her career came with albums "Black" in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years following. In 2016, her latest album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
